FantaMorph Pro supports the import and export of 32bit with alpha images of BMP, TIFF, PNG and TGA formats to create professional effects. In most cases, the images are 24bit of red, green and blue. They are full opaque, thus anything under them will be hidden. The 32bit image has additional 8bit for alpha channel, thus they have transparency and can be smoothly blended to other images.
The left image below is an example of 32bit image, the portion filled with small grids represents transparency. The transparent portion can be smoothly replace with a pure color, like the middle image. Or, it can be smoothly replace with an image as background, see the right image. It's easy to be understood, yes, but it's a professional technique and has been widely used, really.
You can use 32bit morph in FantaMorph, or export 32bit morph results for other video edit software. This is an example below. It has used two 32bit PNG images blending with a flower image as the background and a radial style bitmap as the mask. The resulting morph looks amazing!
